A not-to-be-missed two days event, organized
by The Lunatics in
collaboration with Atlantic Hotel, Congress & SPA and Dimensione Eventi.
For the first time in Italy an exclusive
program developed within the
framework of the Atlantic World located in Via Lanzo
163, in the town of Borgaro
Torinese near
Turin.
SATURDAY,
MARCH 29, 3 pm: OPENING of the EXHIBITION
“Pink Floyd Storie
e segreti in mostra” (“Pink Floyd. Stories and secrets in exhibition”), in the
presence of director Adrian Maben.
Some of the world's greatest rarities
of the group will be exhibited for
the first time, featuring hundreds of
original historical documents relating
to the band. In the luxurious salons of the Hotel the exhibit will range from the hardest
to find posters to vintage handbills, from the tour programs to the
most amazing memorabilia up to an
accurate selection of the rarest records
from the esteemed private collection of the Lunatics, the very active club consisting of five among the most important Pink Floyd historians and
collectors (Nino Gatti, Stefano
Girolami, Danilo Steffanina,
Stefano Tarquini and Riccardo Verani) who in October 2012 published the
bestselling book "Pink Floyd Stories and Secrets"
published by Giunti Editore.
The exhibition, extending to 600 square meters, will develope through the various
chapters of the book and visually
trace the history
of the band, from its origins until the last tour of 1994. Projections
of rare and previously
unpublished footage will make the
appointment a great multimedia moment.
Some of the exhibits are unique and of the highest rarity
value to collectors, never before shown in public.
SATURDAY,
MARCH 29, 9.30 pm: special CONCERT by Turin’s tribute band TIME MACHINE. The group, consisting of 11 elements, propose a great three-hour show titled "Crazy
Diamonds" spacing between all Pink Floyd’s big hits.
SUNDAY,
MARCH 30, 10 am: reopening of the EXHIBITION
SUNDAY,
MARCH 30, 3 pm: exclusive CONFERENCE with ADRIAN MABEN, director of "Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii", the historic feature film shot
in 1971 that has always been recognized by fans around the world as one of the most popular floydian movies. The meeting includes projections and open discussion to relive history, trivia and behind the scenes of the film. Moderated by
notable music journalist and
critic Riccardo Bertoncelli,
assisted by members of The Lunatics,
the debate will provide an opportunity to
raise questions in the room,
opening to a true moment of confrontation with fans.
